FAQS
Anyone wishing to use the word marks, logo, and symbols of ARFFO and/or its related subsidiaries and affiliates in association with their goods and/or services must obtain a license. Additionally, anyone seeking to display the IP outside of product should still contact the ARFFO IP LLC IP Licensing Team.
All requests to license ARFFO IP’s intellectual property are handled by the Headquarters Company Legal Department on behalf of ARFFO IP LLC. Inquiries are processed in the order in which they are received. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, it can take up to eight (8) weeks before receiving a response.
As a popular brand owner, ARFFO must protect its IP against unauthorized use. Our licensing team is similar to that of other brand owners such as Disney®, Nike®, the NFL®, the NCAA®, etc. We have ethical, financial, manufacturing, legal and business standards to which each of our licensees must adhere.
All products or services bearing ARFFO IP must be approved by the IP Licensing Team along with an appropriate IP Licensing Contract. Failure to obtain a license or approval would be grounds for immediate legal action.
Licensing costs vary depending on the property, term, and territory rights required for your project. To obtain a quote, please contact us. Standard Licensees should expect to pay an advance on royalties. Licensees will make an advance payment (on average about US $5,000) at the beginning of the contract year and their quarterly royalties will work through this payment. Typically, a licensee will pay a 10% gross revenue royalty on direct transactions and may have a higher rate for wholesale/distributor/etc. These royalty-bearing sales will be reported quarterly.
It is our Company’s policy not to accept unsolicited submissions of creative material, including but not limited to, scripts, artwork, and product prototypes.
Please report any potential infringement directly to us. The more information provided, the easier it will be for us to investigate:
- Is this a product? If so, what is the product?
- Where is it being sold/displayed (include link)?
- Who is the manufacturer?
- Include a photo or screenshot of the product.
- Is this an endorsement issue? If so please provide a link and image of the potential endorsement.
All licensed merchandise should have a specialty label or hangtag which state “Officially Licensed ARFFO Product”. Additionally, you can reach out to us to verify.
Thank you again for contacting ARFFO IP.
